A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that delivers those results. Texas City Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us directly, we receive the information included in your message and use it to respond.

Like most websites, the hosting service records standard log information, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand which reference pages are used. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.

That includes sponsored search results, which are delivered by an outside provider rather than by Texas City Residents Directory.

Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the time reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Because Texas City Residents Directory does not provide visitor accounts, it does not maintain a visitor password or account profile.

This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor sent information to us, please contact us so it can be removed.
Texas Privacy Choices
Texas Business & Commerce Code chapter 541, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, establishes consumer-data rights and controller duties where applicable. A request to access, correct, or delete site data can be sent through the Contact page. Since this service keeps little visitor information, requests normally involve the contact mailbox and available server logs. Public records held by Texas, Galveston County, or Texas City offices are controlled by their custodians, not by this private reference.
Texas Public Information Act procedures are governed by Tex. Gov't Code chapter 552. Its exceptions and confidentiality rules still apply to government-held records. For example, ยง552.115 sets the public-opening periods for older birth and death records, while other laws can protect specific identifiers or addresses. A privacy request to this site cannot alter a GCAD record, a county deed, a court docket, a voter record, or a newspaper archive.
