Texas City Residents Directory Is Not a Government Office. We are a private reference service, not a records custodian. We cannot retrieve or certify records, verify who lives at an address, or change an official roll or database. Send those requests to the office that maintains the record. Use public information only for lawful, personal purposes. Call 911 for emergencies. If someone is stalking or harassing you, contact local law enforcement.

Match Your Request to the Custodian

Use the subject of the request to choose the correct Texas City or Galveston County record path:

  • Address and property-record questions: start with Streets for parcel, tax, map, deed, and permit routes.
  • Historical volumes or a past household: use City Directory for the Moore Memorial and regional collection paths.
  • One name and a current or dated record clue: use Resident Lookup for the appropriate official search and confirmation sequence.
  • Office roles and access routes: consult the Texas City records offices reference.
  • A non-online existing public record: direct a written request to the custodian under the Texas Public Information Act, Tex. Gov't Code ch. 552.

Public-records contact: The Galveston County Clerk Records & Elections Center is at 10000 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, Suite 1152, Texas City, TX 77591. Call (409) 766-2433. Published hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The County Clerk is the custodian for recorded real-property instruments, marriage licenses, delayed vital records, probate and county-court records, and election administration where assigned.

For a record that is not posted online, the Texas Public Information Act directs requests to the governmental body that maintains the existing record. A written request should describe the record sought rather than ask an office to create an answer. Confidential fields, sealed material, protected voter addresses, and other statutory exceptions can still limit what is released.
